THEY COME BACK EVERY YEAR. IF YOU PLANT A SPOT IN YOUR GARDEN, HAVE A SPOT WHERE YOU WON’T DISTURB EMTH. THEY CAN LAST FOR DECADES. VIOLASND A PANSIES CAN GO OUT NOW. IT WAS REAL COLD YESTERDAY. IN THE GROUND, THEY’D BE FINE. OTHER PERENNIALS LIKE ENGLISH DAISIES, OTHER THINGS THAT YOU’LL START TO SEE BLOOMING RIGHT NOW. JENNIFER: THIS IS NOTHING THAT YOU HAVE TO COVER SO YOU CAN PUT THEM OUT ANDOT N WORRY ABOUT THEM? >> YOU CAN’T. WE COVER THINGS OR BRING THEM IN MORE TO SAVE THE BLOOM, BECAUSE IF THEY DON’T HAVE A BLOOM, THEY DON’T SELL. WE BROUGHT PANSIES IN YESTERDAY. THEY’RE GOING OUT TODAY AND SHOULD STAY OUT. THINGS LIKE BROCCOLI AND CABBAGE AND KALE AND ALL THAT WILL BE ABLE TO STAY OUTSIDE SXB PLANTED, ESPECIALLY IN THE CITY AND WARMER AREAS NEAR THE WATER. JENNIFER: WHAT’S SOME OF THE YARD WORK THAT PEOPLE CAN BE DOING? >> YARD WORK, YOU KNOW, RIGHT NOW IT’S MAINLY CLEANUP. SO IF YOU GO OUT, GET ANY WEEDING DONE,NY A WINTER WEEDS, I LIKE TOUT P DOWN CORN GLUTEN. THAT KEEPS WEEDS FROM GERMINATING. I HATE TO WEED. I DOTN’ MIND DOING IT ONCE, BUT I DON’T WANT TO KEEP DOING IT. AS THINGS WARM UP, PUT A LITTLE BIT OF MULCH. OTHER THAN THAT IT’S CLEANUP AND GET EXCITED ABOUT PLANTING STUFF BECAUSE WE’RE COMING UPON THAT PLANTING SEASON. JENNIFER: ARE WE EVER. THIS WEEK IS GOING TO BE PERFECT FOR GETTING OUT IN THE YARD.
